Indeed, we can imagine that the round edge of the eyepiece is in fact the porthole of a spacecraft!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/skinakas.physics.uoc.gr\/en\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skinakas Observatory<\/a> is located on top of Ida mountain, in the Greek island of Crete, at an altitude of 1750 meters above sea level. It is a joint research facility of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ia.forth.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundation for Research and Technology &#8211; Hellas<\/a> (FORTH) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.uoc.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Crete<\/a>.
